FIRE AT WANGAN UI.

MUSIC WAREHOUSE BURNT,

ANOTHER SHOP INJURED.

Wanganuj, this day. An outbreak of fire occurred in the centre of the town between two and threo o'clock this morning, by which considerable proporfcy was destroyed. The fire broke out about 2.30 a.m., in Collier's Music Warehouse, a two-storied wooden building in Victoria Avenue. Tho fire brigade station being in very close proximity, the brigade were speedily on the fjcene, and succeeded in almost completely confining the fire to Collier's premises. They had it under within fifteen minutes from the alarm being given. Collier's premises were completelygutted, and the stock which includes musical instruments ruined.

The adjoining shop of Mr Dickson, tailor, was charred and the stock damaged by water.

The insurance on Collier's building and stock is £1,550, and on Dickson'a stock £500,
