Referring to the recent prosecution and the penalty of £5 and costs, or 14 days' imprisonment, imposed by the Court, it is hereby notified, with a view to the prevention of further frauds in the sale of inferior spirits or compounds from WOLFE'S SCHNAPPS BOTTLES, that future proceedings will be instituted under a more stringent section of the Trade Marks Act of. New Zealand, 30 Vict., -No. 9. This clause makes the offence a MISDEMEANOUR, and imposes a penalty up to TWO YEARS' IMPRISONMENT with the fine of any amount that may be fixed by the Judge. It is further notified that special means aro now being taken to insure detection and conviction, and offenders ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED that they will be prosecuted to the utmost limit of the law.
