Jerome, Que., July 28th, 1889, wribes:—" Lasb week I meb a genblemaD from Sprihgfield, and I nobiced bhab he carried a fine gold wabch in one pocket and a Waterbury in the other. I asked him why. He said he kept the Waterbury to see if his other watch ran well, and he was in earnest, for ho worked in a mill where they had dynamos, and they played the dickens with the gold watch, while the Waterbury kept ticking as regularly as ever."
The faithful Waterbury may be obtained from any respectable storekeeper. Price: Series E, 13s 6d ; series J or L, 20s.
