Lyons distinguished himself. He played a brilljanb game, and scored eight boundary hits ih an of 55, magnificently put together. Trott was run out through a übupidblunder. The fielding of tho Englishmen was exceptionally fine. McGi*egor, as wicket-keaper, distinguished himself especially. The Englishmen began badly, but pub up 107 runs for five wickebs, of which the fifth contributed 72. London, July 22. The Players were nob disposed of till they had pub together 173- McGregor was bowled by Lyons, Lohmann, jcaughb and bowled Lyons 19, Trumble 16. Ullett bowled Lyons 74, Barnes bowled Lyons 9, extras, 2. The Ausbralians are now in for their second innings, and have lost 7 wickets for 119.
