Portugal is alarmed and irritated at the British activity in the Zambesi district, and claims that the Blantyre mission be allotted to Portugal,

Galveston, July 21. 1 It is reported that fighting has taken place between the troops of Guatemala and San Salvador. The G .atemala forces were defeated.
