ISLAND SHIPPING.
Messrs W. McArthur and Co. advise us that on the 15th insb. the French barque Henriette, 691 tons, under charter to bheir firm, lefb Nukualofa (Tonga) for Europe, loaded wibh 800 tons of copra. At Vavau (Friendly Group) the German barque Venus, under charter to the German firm, is loading copra for Europe. The Auckland schooner Olive, Captain Ross,' is still engaged in trading in the Friendly Group, where she will remain for some months to come. Her next trip to Tonga will be to Savage Island. At Neiafu (Vavau) a few weeks ago she had a narrow escape from going ashore in a gale, losing two anchors and a cable. The American three-masted schooner Mary A. Sweasey, which had come bo Samoa from Puget Sound, has-just left Tonga for British Columbia in ballast.
