THE MAILE.
The Auckland three-masted schooner Maile, 252 tons. Captain Lane, arrived ab Samoa on the Bth inst. from Howland Island. _ The " Samoa Times " says :— "Captain Lane reporbs thab he lefb Howland Island on June 21sb, bound for Enderbury and Apia. He stood north for the counter currents, bub finding light winds and calms, and fearing to miss the mail, he stood soubh for Apia." Ab present bhe Maiio is under charter to Messrs J. T. Arundel and Co., and will shortly remove their guano plant to Reine Island (Queensland coast). She arrived ab Howland Island on June 12bh, 19 days from Auckland, including ono day at Enderbury. The Maile sailed tor the guano islands again from Apia on tbe 10th inst.
