Tho following is the scale of wages to be paid monthly ;— Seamen, ,*£7 ;. boatswains, £8; lamp--trimmers, £7; lamp-trimmers and seamen, £8; coal trimmers, £7; firemen, £9; dpn- • keymen, £10; greasers, £9. W hen vessels Are trading to other ports than the pott of discbarge to be paid at the terminal port; if engaged by rate, the scale shall be 10a per day until returned, the men to be entitled to their passages to the port of leaving. .'Overtime for all work between five p.m. aud five a.m. shall be paid ior at the rate of Is 6d per hour on ordinary days, : Sundays and holidays being 2s per hour. Half-an-hour is to bo allowed when leaving porb for stowing ropes and derricks, afterwards overtime ie to be allowed. There shall be eight recognised public holidays in the year.
