Thames, this day. Dives -*. further haul of 271b of picked stone was obtained, to-day from No. 5 atope west. A good show is still left. Trenton.—ln No. 7 stope the lode is being stripped. It averages 15 inches, ana shows dabs and colours of gold. Try Fluke.—The reef at the south end of the winze is not quite so solid as it has been, but up to the present the face has crushed splendidly, and good gold continued the whole distance underfoot. Overhead it also shows in the stone. best ab the bottom. At the north end the reef is getting wider as it goes down, and fine crushing dirt may be expected from the two stopes. In consequence of the state of the roads not more than five tons of quartz per day can be got down to the battery. Red MIRCiTRY.-The contractor is making good progress in packing quartz; to the beach, 13 tons being now delivered. Ib will probably be shipped about the latn. The low level is in- 31 feet, and four ov live weeks should see thereof in hand. Dunne the past week one man has been engaged trenching on the reef south of tbeprewnt workings wifch good: reeults. Almost every stone gives splendid'mortar and dish prospects cart be obtained in the winze, and it is expected that a considerable portion of jreef now stripped will prove payable. In the low level the vein is rather email, but the quartz bears,a Strong to the Try Fluke reef. The chow of gold has xmBig reef is four feet thick and give* a fair show of gold when pounfed. It should prove payable when Cr Ntw d 'MbANATAiAEt.-The quartzfrom cross reef Cambria level is kindly lbokine Reuben. Parr reef maintains a promising appearance and picked stone Iβ obtained at every breaking down. Freedom.-Nice dabs of gold are left along the back of the eastern drive, and on ?he loor 25fb of the reef has beenetripped ready for breaking down. New ALBURNiA.-The crosscut on the break at the battery -level ha. extended a further distance of 20 feet. A body of quarz has been, intersected w,ch Corresponds with JWe reef. Ib u.lB inches thick, ana kindly-lookmg friable quartz. A few strong colours of gold and other favourable indications have been met. 3! At the Whau level ,f beena decided improvement, and *oM may be expected at any breaking down.
