C, has undergone.dutinghis eventful career all.theups.and downs of a busy actor'a experience.; Last winter in Manchester he was obliged to loso seven consecutive performances through an attack of rheumatism which, wholly disabled him, and at variou? othor-timej| when he has has been attacked by the same old enemy, losing much of histime, salary, arid in addition to his "other miseries having to pay large doctors! bills, •> Hβ sayathat although he had the best medical advice he suiiered martyrdom. At'the beginning of last winter he felt that the sanie trouble was coming on worse than ever, when came good Samaritan advised him to try that sover? eign remedy, St. Jacobs oil; and to use his own words, he says :~" The result was simply ■ miraculous. Like the wave of a magician's wand, the pain left me almost after the first Last winter, he cay's, was the happiest .winter he has spent for'many.years.' .
