Ahua won the Timaru Cup yesterday, wieh Catamount second and St. James third. The Hardies fell to Waita«gi, and the Flying Handicap to La Rose. Acceptances for the Avondale races are due to-night, and nominations also close for the A.R.C. Champagne Stakes. Mr DigbyTorike to-day sold at his mart the privileges for the Avondale Race Meeting.
