THE BARQUE AUSTRALIA.
The Australia is a laTfje, Bubstantiallooking, wooden barquo of 920 tons, of Norwegian build, and ia owned in Grimstacl, Norway. She has been expected hero for KOir.o time past from Melbourne, to go on the loading boi'fch for New York. She came into the harbour early this morning from Melbourne in ballast, after a tedious passagu of three weeks, and anchored in the stream. Captain Jneobsen commands the Au.-s'ralia. On the voyaffO across from the Victoria:' port nothing but iisrlib easterly winds and calms were had, and the passage down fcho coast after rounding tho North Cape occupied a week. Tho Australia is quite a new vessel, having been built only twelve months ago at; Grimstad, Nomayj of Norwegian pine. She is 920 tons register, and is capable of stowing away bolow hatches nearly 2,000 tons of Her owners are her hiasber and J. W. liavstad, of Grimstad.
Sines leaving her builder's yard she has done little voyaging. * From Grimstad she took out a cargo of pine to Melbourne, and from Newcastle took a load of coal to Java, loading back to Melbourne with sugar from that island. Thence she came across hero in ballast. After discharging her ballast tho Australia starts at once to load for New York.
