Two announcements of interest to volunteers are made. Captain Kohn has cancelled the weekly drill of the City Guards, and has called a special daylight parade of the City Guards for Saturday afternoon, when it is very desirable that there should be a good muster, as the necessary number Of daylights to entitle the corps to capitation have not yet been put Hi. The membars of the "A" Battery "are also warned to attend at tho Drill-shed to-morrow evening at half past six for a daylight parade. The lad Gerard Farrell, who was kicked by a horse in Hobson-streot on Saturday morning, and whose name was at first given as Jeremiah McCabo, is progressing favourably ab the Hospital, where he was taken alter the aqcidono,
