(To tbe Editor.) Sir,—l shall feel very much obliged if you could leb us know xrhab the quarter money collected in the Government sctiools is for, as some are not sure if it is for ink and pens supplied by the masters, or that the children are to be supplied by the Youre, etc., Mater, Birkenhead.
[Quarter money is paid by the childien for ink, pens, pencils, and sometimes slates supplied by the teacher. The amount of quarter money depends on the amount supplied by the teacher, who will be willing, we have «o doubt, to give you all information about ib.—Ed. E.S.]
