•ORETT'S AUCKLAND A LMANAC AND : PROVINCIAL HANDBOOK For 1890 Will contain Specialties of a new and attractive character, including a splendid Lithographic PICTURE OF GREAT NATIVE FEAST ::, ; -t. HELD AT REMUERA IN, 1844. , This large and unique representation of a Great Historical Event is suitable for framing, and will bo issued gratuitously to all purchasers of the Almanac. The aim of this work is to describe in an interesting manner the vast resources, the climate, and the scenery of the Auckland Provincial District ; its mountains, harbours, rivers, and lakes; its forests and its plains ; its cultivated and its waste lands; and, to show foreign capitalists that our genial clime, rich'lands, mineral products, and intelligent, go-ahead people offer inducement to intending investors or settlers superior to those of any other part of the world. Other Colonial Handbooks have invariably misrepresented this naturally rich and beautiful Province, while many pages of the above work are devoted entirely to setting forth Auckland's capabilities and its many superior advantages; in addition to which the fullest information is afforded of all political, social, and religious matters of Provincial or Colonial importance. As each year the contents are re-written and the statistical information brought up to the latest date, the annual volume becomes a valuable work of reference, worthy ef a permanent place in every colonist's library. GUARANTEED CIRCULATION, 5,000 COPIES. As the book has now become a work of daily reference in the home of every settler throughout tho province, and is in use in all public offices throughout the colony, and in many leading places abroad, it may with confidence be described as the best permanent medium of advertising offered to business men. This being the Jubilee of the Colony, it is expected that there will bo a large influx of visitors into Auckland, the Wonderland of the World, and tho boo„ will be used as a handy guide io tourists and others. It is estimated that over 1,000 copies of this hook are sent abroad annually by merchants to their foreign correspondents, and by residents to their friends who are meditating emigration to New Zealand. They are found on all incoming passenger ships and steamers. Tho work will be issued at the old price— ONE SHILLING. ..,.
