Consistency.—-You should not confound the views expressed by correspondents with editorial opinions. There is a very • wide ditl'eronce between a substantial land tax and the extreme doctrines of the single tax advocates. The latter wo regard as utterly unworkable, and contrary to justice, as thoy are stated by " Single Tax " and soino of his fellow-believers in tho total confiscation of private land values.
