Titrc Comii)is c 'ior.ei , of Police has received a bck&ram stating th.it a body supposed to be that of tho late Major Jackson, M.11.R. for Waipa, has been found in a cave between Mokau and Kawhiu. Tho body ia not yet identified. Tho place is not easily -reached, hut a steamer will probably be sent from Waifcara to Kawhia to convey the body to the former place, where it i 3 intended to hold an inquest.
