STEAMER RANELAGH BADLY INJURED.
SAILOR TERRIBLY BURNED.
Brisbane, this day. Another steamboat collision occurred to-day, between the Konoowarra, 1,273 tons, belonging to W. Howard Smith and Sons, and the Kanelagh, a new vessel, off Maryborough. The latter was badly injured, the Konoowarra making a great gap in one side.
. Water-tight compartments, however, prevented the Ranelagh from sinking, and she was beached without sustaining; further damage. One of the crew of the Ranelagh got jammed in his bunk by tho collision, and was terribly burned by the bursting of a lamp. The Konoowarra was not seriously injured.
