LICENSING COURT.
AUCKLAND NORTH.
The Quarterly sitting of the Auckland North Licensing Committee jvas held ab noon today, in the E.M. Court. Present: Messrs J. Newman (acting chairman), F. Whitehead, J. W. Carr, and A. Bell; also Mr J. B. Stonoy, licensing clerk. Sergeant - Major Pratt represented the police. Thistle Hotel. — The license of this house was transferred from James Purcell ;to Sarah Jacobs. •
ALBKiiT Hotel. —This license was transferred from Arthur. Stibchbury to Lindsay Cook. Governor Browne Hotel.—This license was transferred from Jaine3 Willis to. Stapleton Cotton Caulton. Railway Refreshment Bars. — Tne Chairman referred to the fact that it was proposed by the Railway Commissioners to grant licenses to sell intoxicating drinks at the Auckland Railway Station.—lt was decided to meet the other Committees aexb Friday at noon with a view to entering a united protest against such a course being adopted.
