TONIC SOLFA.
(To the Editor.)
SiE, —I am very pleased to sco that endeavours are being made to bring Tonic Sol-fa once more into prominence in our midst. We have a considerable number of Tonic Sol-faists in our midsb, and it is very desirable that they band themselves together, after their rather lengthened rest, with such an efficient teacher as Mr Innes, who holds all the honours of the Tonic Solfa College, and who is, I understand, the only graduate and licentiate of the Tonic Sol-fa College in New Zealand. The winter evenings will soon be on us, and I know not of a more enjoyable and profitable way of spendinga social hour than by devoting ib to the study of our classical composers. I wish Mr Innes all success in his efforts to awake interest in this good cause, and only trust that he may receive all the support which the movement deserves. —I am, etc.,
Tonic Sol-fa.
