Londos, April 29.Plans for the Congo railway are now completed. The line will be 260 miles in length, and will run from • Matadi to Stanley Pool. The. cost is estimated at 25,000,000 francs. The object of the undertaking is to connect the upper and lower Congo, taking the traffic of the Congo basin, and special concessions have been granted to Mr H. M. Stanley and Mr J. F. Hutton, President of the Manchester Chamber ol Commerce, acting on behalf of the Congo Railway Syndicate, for ihe construction of the line.
