W tants to Know.—The best and cheapest roube to reach the Argentine ■.'Republic from Auckland, is to proceed from here by direct London steamer touching at Rio de Janiero, and landing at Rio, travelling south to Buenos Ayres, the capital of the Argentine Republic. This route is far cheaper and infinitely more rapid than via London or New York. The New .Zealand Shipping Co. s and Shaw, Saville and Albio j Co.'s direct steamers touch at Rio homeward, bound, the passage from here occupying three weeks. The rates of passage money first, second, and third-class are respectively, £45, £25, and £15. From Rio passage could be taken in a coasting steamer to Monte Video or Buenos Ayres, the journey occupying four days, the passage rates being £10, £6 and £4. The first direct steamer leading the colony for Rio is the New Zealand Shipping Company's Tongrariro, which sails from Wellington on the 21sb inst.
