LATER PARTICULARS.
At nine o'clock the fire had practically gone out. The damage is very great. On the eastern side, the fire destroyed Mr Ward's, chemist, E-iley, tailor, and a large empty store, formerly occupied by MrKeesing. . . The wind being westward the following buildings caught one after another, until the whole were destroyed:—An empty store belonging to Mra Wiley ; Sargeant, jeweller; Kiucaid's two shops ; Golder a shop • seed store occupied by Mr isfeal ; Mr Bond, printer ; Pierce, fruiterer ; McNeish, billiard saloon ; Cox, shoemaker ; an empty store, the property of Nipley ; George Neal's large store } Ruge, hairdresser ; horse bazaar, lately occupied byßuckland. A fow of the buildings were insured. Most of. the stock and iurnibnre were saved, but much of -it is ilonus.yod.
