NEWMARKET BOROUGH.
The Assessment Court for Newmarket sat this morning in the Council Chamber, Newmarket. Mir R. C. Barstow, Assessment Judge, presided, Mr Bush, Valuator, conducted the cases, and MlrDinnison, Town Clerk, represented the Borough Council. "^h& following are the cases dealt with : E. Porter and Co., £200 to £133 ; J. Borley, £42 to £40 ; F. G. Clayton, £45 and £30, Baßtaitied, no appearance ; W. Elliott, £62, sustained, no appearance ; B. P. Dawson, £140, sustained : C. Williamson, £10 to £8; A. H. Eastwood, £37 to £32; H. P. Simpkins, £37 to £25 ; Auckland Institute, £25 to £10 ; J. W. Gr.ne. £18 to £15 • R. Keesing, £35 to £30 : R.. Keesing, £70 to £52 ; hi. Tozer, £45 to £40 ; F. A. White, £160, sustained ; W. J. Palmer, £85, sustained; M. Gilbert, £25 to£22; A. Whyte, £28, no appearance, sustained ; W. Kennedy, £50 to £44 ; Auckland Institute, £35, sustained : J. Burton, £65 to £60 ; C. McCarthy, £22 to £17; J. Bush, £15, sustained. .___
