LATE SHIPPING.
This morning abarquentine and a barque •were reported outside Tiri, inward bound, but neither had made the port when we went to press.
The mission schooner Southern Cross, now lying moored off Judge's Bay t> is refitting for her Island cruise, having shipped her toDtnasts, etc. She leaves on her annual cruise through the Melanesian Isles about the end of the present month.
The tender of Mr C. Bailey, of this port, has been accepted for the discharging of 200 tons of the barquentine India's cargo of copra from Haapai, and the vessel was to-day brought alongside the Quay-street jetty No. 2, for the purpose of having the copra landed and stored in the wharf shed. Early next week the India will be docked in the Auckland Graving Dock, and upon the survey then made ib will be decided whether or no she -will undergo repairs here.
