THE LIBERAL PLAITFORM.
Melbourne, this day. In view of the approaching general elections, the Liberal partyin this colony have adopted the following platform— To secure the Victorian market to the Victorian producer, and in farming and stock raising to .prevent Chinese competition j maintain the principle of Education Act, raise prospecting to the level of a recognised industry ; amend the Land Act; make Local Option effectual; abolish plural voting and extend the franchise to women ; impose a tax on absentees j ivdopt a national scheme of sanitary rei'orm, and prevent criminal pauper immigration.
