A PROCLAMATION. Whereas by section four of "The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1887 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), it is intci- alia enuctod that the Governor may, upon the terms and conditions in the said section mi-niionud, by Proclamation publicly notified, direct that any bridge already constructed, or which may hereafter be constructed, over or across any river or arm of the sea respectively, shall, Irom and after.-i date to be fixed in such Prcc aviation, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of such local authority ad shad be mentioned in that behalf in such Proclamation : And whereas it is expedient that lhe control and management of the bridge described in tho Schedule hereto should be vested in the manner hereinafter described: .. . Now therefore, !. William Francis Drumm'uid Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the Dowers and authorities in mo vested by the said Act, ai.-i of every, other _ power and authority in anywise enabling me in tins benaii, do hereby direct that tho bridge mentioned in the Schedule hereto, and known as the Maugcre Bridge shall, from and.after the date ot the first publication hereof in tiic Auckland Evening STAHnewspaper.be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Mangere Road Board; and Ido hereby fix and determine that the . Mangoro Road Board shall itself provide dlit of its own funds one-half of the cost of managing and maintaining the said bridge; and that the Onehunga Borough Council shall, on demand in writing from the said Mangere Road Board, pay to the said Board front tune to time one-half ot the actual cost of managing and maintaining the said bridge.
