Joseph Burne, an old old settler who died on Tuesday, has bequeathed £2,000 to the Society for the Relief of Aged and Neeity, £1,000 to the Benevolent Institution, md £1,000 for the support and maintenance; of the Alexandra Home for Friendless Women.

New Plymouth, this dajj. The last of the alleged perjury cases Vac concluded this morning, when Alßert Edward Hewson, charged with having given perjured evidence in the case of ilcLouchlin v. Petrie, was committed for trial at the Supreme Court.
