VICTORY FOR THE CITY GUARDS
Ths rifle match between teams from HM.s. Orlando and the Auckland City Guards, which was concluded yesterday afternoon, proved to be very close, th c Guards winning by only fourteen points* Ten shots each were hredatthe2oo,3oo,and 400 yards ranges, and in order to equalise matters, weapons were exchanged after eaoh five shots. The Guards were armed with Sniders, and the sailors wibh MartiniHenris.
