Tjiamks, this day. Mr« Adah Pouter arrrived here from Auckland yesterday afternoon, and waited upon the Borough Council re fche minera* wealth of this district being suitably represented at the forthcoming Paris Exhibition. He asked that the Council should co-oper-ate with the Auckland Chamber of Commerce in cojlecfcing exhibits and securing a good display. It was agreed to comply with the request end to give Bjiph assistance as the Council could to forward the object, while tho Mayor was authorised to take such action as he might deem neccaeary.
