Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Report.— At the Haymarket, during the past week, oats have brought 2s 6d to 2s 9d; maize, 2s 6d to 2s 3d the bushel; chair, £1 10s to £3 10s the ton; bonedust, £6 10s to £8 10s the ton. On Friday, horse stock sold freely and at better values; prices for useful stock ranged from £7 to £21. Hide-saddle, £2 5s to £3 3s: hackney saddles, £1 to £3 each. At the sale of horses and buggies at Mount Eden, on Monday, there was a good demand for everything offered. Horses brought from £10 5s upwards; the brake brought £33 ; omnibus, £10 2s 6d ; waggonette, £14 15s ; double-seated buggy, £17 10- ; singleseated buggies, £7 to £7 15s respectively. Hides and skins, on Tuesday, were at late values. Sound ox hides, from 3Jd to 4d; cow hides, 2|d to 2,d ; calfskins,3_d to _Jd lb; tallow, 10s 6tl to 14s the cwt: bones, £4 103 the ton ; skcenskins. 2s to 5s 9d each; lambskins, 8d; wool, 7d to 7:(d the lb. At Waiuku, on Saturday last, a large'muster of store cattle sold freely, particularly grown cattle suitable for immediately fattening. Young catile were also in request at satisfactory prices. At the fair held at Remuera, on Wednesday, stock were brought forward in greater number than advertised. Many of them were in low condition, but the demand was good, and very few remained unsold. For the bulls thero was a fair demand -, prices for yearlings ranged from, throe guineas to five guineas; aged bulls, £2 to £3; three-year-old steers, £210s to £3 6s; cows, £15s to £2 2s- two-year-old steers, £1 15s to £2; heifers, £l' 5s to £1 15s; yearling steers, 18s to £1 ss; heifers, 14s to £1 each. At Remuera on Thursday a small number of dairy cows were yarded, and they wero slightly more saleable than last week. Prices ranged from 50s to £6. The store cattle, withdrawn at Wednesday's saie % sold at an advauce over the then bidding. No fat stock was received from the coast, but the market was fully supplied. Prices were irregular being lower at tho finish lor steers; but cows maintained their value throughout. Ihe price for steers! was from 16s to 18s; cows, 13s to 14s the 1001b; averages for drafts ot steers received ranged generally from £516a^ to £7, but one draft of 10 head averaged £8 lis. Calves plentiful; generally from three to six weeks old brought from 8s to 17s each. Sheep, in short supply, were firm; wethers in their wool brought from 12s to 17s; shorn sheep, 9s to 12s each ; lambs numerous, but many too young to be profitably sent to market; these brought from 3s 6d to 6s, but well-grown and fatted lambs brought from 9s to 14s each, Well-bred house-fed pigs sold satisfactorily, but large coarse animals were from 3s to 7s each.

■ Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Weekly Report.—Horse feed, seeds, grain, in adequate supply and steady demand. We quote : Maize, 2s 8d ppr bushel; feed oats, 2s lOd to 3s ; bran, £5 per ton. Horses: The improvement noticed the previous week has continued. Prices for those of a good stamp had an upward tendency, and there remains an unsatisfied inquiry for erood, young, active horses. An average number were entered for disposal by auction at the Durham Yards; competition was good, and most of the lots were cleared at an advance on the previous week's values. We quote: Hacks, at from £6 to £12 5s ; light harness horses, from £8 to £14: no heavy draught were disposed of. Wool hides, and skins: There was an average supply and steady demand, at the Durham Yards, on Tuesday. We quote: Heavy oxhides, 3 Jd to 4kl per lb;medium, od to 3Jd;cow, 2_d to 3d; calfskins, 4d to4Ad per lb; sheepskins, la 8d to 5s lld each; pelts, 4d to6deach. Cattle: Above an average number have been brought forward, but the demand has continued steady, as have also values. The Newmarket Yards wero fairly tilled on Tuesday and there was a large muster at Pukekohe on Wednesday. Dairy stock were plentiful, but barelyup to the average in description £5 being the maximum price obtained, while some changed hands at £3 7s 6d: calves sold at from 8s to £1; yearlings, 15s to 25s each; dry cows, £1 5s to £2 2s 6d; beef, from 15s to 17s 6d per 1001b. Some averages were: Steers, £5 5s 3d, £0 7s, £5 10s, £6. £6 4s, £6 lis 9d, £7, £7 103; cows, £317s 6d, £4 ss, £5 2s 6d. Sheep: There was a good muster of shorn sheep, but they scarcely sold relatively so high as those in wool, wethers selling at from 7s 6a to 12s, in wool from 14s to 16s each; lambs, plentiful, sold at from 7s6d to 15s. Pigs, scarce; good baconers and porkers inquired for.

Messrs Stone Brothers report their prices of grain, &c, for week ending Monday, October 11 (subject to fluctuations of market).-Bright short feed oats, _S 9d (rising); crushed oats, 2s 9d; Danisb oats, 2s7_d; Tartarian oats, 2s 9d; pressed hay (handy sizes), 40s per ton: oatmeal (Harraway and Anchor brand), 25's £11, 7's £12 15s (tinning); guaranteed Southern flour, £815s; sharps, -PA ; bran, £4 15s (exceedingly scarce); pure oaten hay, £215s per ton ; barley, 3s 9d; Canterbury potatoes, £4 10s (rising market); prime sample of maize, 2s 8d; Canterbury hams and bacon (in cloth, equal number), 7id; bonedust, £6 to £710s; pure malt vinegar, in casks (free) of 30 gallons each, ls 4d per gallon; Hobart rails (per 100), £3 53; palings, 5 feet 15s, 6 feet 17s; splendid box tea, 15s: half-chests, ls 6d; felloes, cart shafts, oils, white load, while zinc, mixed paints, Manilla and European ropes, etc., very cheap. N.B.—ld per bushel reduction on grain and 2s 6d per ton on potatoes, bran, sharps, etc., when delivery taken from ship's side.

Messrs G. W. -Binney and Sons' Report. —Chared a large catalogue of hides, sheepskins, etc. at sale on Tuesday last. Choice prime ox sold ud to 5d per lb (50s each): prime heavy, aid to 4_d; heavy, 3Jd to 4d ; heavy cow, 3d ; medium steer and cow, 2gd to 21d: local green ox, 22s to 255; cow. 10s to 1.8 each: calfskins, 4d to4.dperlb; damaged and stags, 2s 6d to 10s each. Sheepskins: Demand brisk; no alteration iv value to report. Tallow. 13s to 14s per cwt; rough fat. Id por lb. Bones, 4s 6d per cwt. Potatoes : Market firm; Southern, 85s: Waikato, 65s to 80a per ton. Flour (Gray nnd Aldrich); Sacks, £10; 100's, £10 ss; 50's, £10 10s per ton. Woolpacks. 2s 7d to 2s 10d each, according to number and weight.
