At a meeting of the Committee of the Auckland Bowling Club held, yesterday afternoon it wis decided to open the season on the afternoon of Saturday, the 20bh inst. An application: was received for the lease of a portion of the Club ground for tennis purposes, bub consideration of this was deferred, the applicants meanwhile to be informed that the Committee would prefer to lease the whole of the tennis courts. Messrs J. Kirk wood, P. Oliphant, and J. Billington were appointed a Match Committee to all matches for the enaning season.
