THE NORTHERN ICE
BLOCKADE.
New York, October 9. THE expedition which left Labrador some considerable time back, under the command of Lieutenant Wiggins, in. order to ascertain whether the Arctic Ocean >vas navigable, so as to open a route from Labrador to the mouth of •the Yenesei River, Siberia, has returned. Lieutenant Wiggins reports fchat wide the most favourable circumstances it would be impossible for vessels to reach the northern portion of Asia.
