Auction sales for the week have been held at the Mart as follows:—On TVlonday a sals of drapery, etc., was well attended, 'and good business aone. Tuesday: "A sale of country land, not. a large audience, and but little competition. Allotments in Eaglan districted at from 2s to 33; 6d per acre. Wednesday and Thursday;: Clear-; ing sale of furniture dealer's stock; crowded attendance with good bidding; a .large busi-' ness was done. Friday.v Our usual market-day; sale. Parrots show no improvement, in fact prices: aveiower, and will hardly pay growers for labour. Mangolds.: Un■saleablp. Chaff: No signs of improvement.
