ARRIVAL OF THE,DEVA. Vessel tx Good Condition. This morning about daylight the signal station at Mount, Victoria indicated the sighting of a barque outside Tin, ■: and shortly afterwards a pilot was signalled tor. About 9.30 a.m. Pilot Sainty boarded the vessel, which proved to be tlie long-expected barque Deva, from; London. Her passage out'has occupied tlie somewhat long period : of 141 days, but tlie-fears, that had been entertained for Her safety have.; now been proved to be entirely misplaced,,! ■a. the vessel has arrived, in the p|nk, of• j order and condition, n.oitlier the vessel nor. the cargo having sustained the 'least damage. Captain Davies, who cotnes in charge of the vessel, attributes the long passago to the very bad N.E. trades and the subsequent heavy weather in making for the southwards. After making the coast of New Zealand sho had to beat all the way down the coast, taking four days on the run from the Poor Knights to Tiri. The Deva was here lasb aboub*s or 6 years ago, Captain Pierpont being then in command, with the present skipper, Captain Davies, as chief officer. The barque isan iron vessel of 747 tons, and is owned by, Messrs W. Just and Co., of Liverpool. She comes consigned to Messrs Stone Bros. Early this afternoon the Deva arrived in tho harbour. ' ■, j
