Losuox, September 11.. Sip. SAOL Samuel, ' who arrived in London this week, has, at the suggestion of Siiv Henry Parkes,, had an interview with Lord Stanley, the President -of the Board •of Trade, in reference to',Mr Sandford Fleming's proposal that Canada and Australia Bhould confer;as to the possibility of reciprocity with regard to thePacificcableand the mails. Lord Stanley expressed himself favourable to the cable project, but.added that the majority of those interested in the question were- hostile to Sir Julius; Vogel's proposal that the Eastern Extension and Pacific Companies should amalgamate, and make the terminus of the cabie San Franoiscd, instead of Vancouver. , :
