THE SULTAN'S PALACE .ATTACKED. >^.^
HORRIBLE ATROCITIES.
London, Septew ber 12. News has been received here of a revolutionary rising having taken place in Morocco., The citizens arose and looted the "residences of Europeans, and it is believed that several European subjects have, been murdered by the rebels. „;„ The palace of the Sultan was also attacked and entered by the mob, and the Sultan only escaped after a desperate hand-to-hand encounter had taken place between his body guard and the assailants. The affair was ended by Imperial troops arriving and driving the rebels from the palace back to town. During the outbreak, horrible outrages were perpetrated on women and girls, rivalling in barbarity the Bulgarian "atrocities." ; ;
The foreign warships in the harbour have landed armed parties, who are helping to quell the disturbance, and at the same time affording! protectionTiO Europeans resident in tho place.
