WEST END ROWING CLUB CONCERT.

Last evening in the ronsonby Hall thf annual entertainment iv connection with f ■ the West End Rowing Club took placo. The entertainment consisted of a concert . and dramatic entertainment, and was , _ througnout most successful; ' There was a good attendance, and the various items on the programme were well appreciatedl by\;>y,,::. the audiencel, encore? being frequently do-: manded aud responded to. EdSvards, who favoured the audience with a soaa, • "Old and New" {Bonheur Tboo), which wa« well received. This concluded the firat part of the entertainment. The gect>nd part, of the programme was a comedy, "Written in Sand," by members ot th& Auckland Dramatic Club, in which tho cast was as follows :—Frank Soaton, Mr A. Forrest; Fairfax Kendell, Mr A. F. Montague; Tom PottP, Mr J. -Coorjer; Kate Shirley, Mias G. Esdaile: Hister j Winifred,.,:MUs C. Robertson. Mr i. Forrest acted as stage mar.ager, and the manner in wtiich the comedy was staged elicited coiisi/ierable applause.
