TABERNACLE BAND OF HOPE.
The competition of the above Society was brought to a successful close last evening when,the judges' awards were announced' The meeting was presided over by Dr. A« O. Knight. The judge 3 were Mesdamo_ Spurgeon and Vaile and Mr Woodhara in instrumental and vocal music,-and;Messrs Barry and Cooper in elocution. The following programme was creditably rendered by the several competitors :—Master David Hogg, violin solo ; Miss Rosa Cowden, recitation ; Mr H. G.
