The s.s Richmond was docked this afternoon for a general overhaul.
The s.s Te Anau left last evening for the Bay of Islands, to take in a supply of coal at Opua.
. The s.s. Suva left last evening for Wellington, via the coast ports, with a quantity of cargo.
*• The s.s Rowena left last evening for Hokianga. She is run regularly on the West Coast trade.
The American barque Essex was gaily decked with bunting in honour of the 4th of July.
The brigantine Seabird has been fixed to load timber at Mercury Bay for Sydney. She was entered out at the Customs today.
The schooner Louie sailed to-day for . Greymouth in ballast. She is to load there | with coal for the surveying ship H.M.s. Egeria, which she is to meet at Tonga tabu.
Captain Attwood, of the barque Coul-na-Kyle, is waiting instructions from the owner of the vessel before ho does anything in the way of having repairs effected.
The s.s. Oreti is still moored to the Railway Wharf, Wellington, where she has been for several months past, but a report has reached us that she has been sold to a Dunedin party.
The Northern Company's s.s. Gairloch, from Wellington, arrived this morning with 80 head of cattle, 300 sheep, 12 cases butter, 6 cases bacon. While at Wellington the Gairloch was placed on slip and received a thorough overhaul.
