WRECK NEAR RAROTONGA.

LOSS OF THE JULIA PRYCE.

By the s.s. Richmond we learn of the wreck of the Auckland schooner Julia Pryce. The vessel arrived at Rarotonga under charge of Captain Clarke, and chartered by Messrs Hart and Co. on May Ist. She was re-chartered to a Chinaman, and left for Australia. She was off there trading on the Bbh of May, when a storm came on. The vessel was kept off the land, but somehow or other was taken by a current to near the reef, and was cast up some 20 feet above high water mark.- The crew were got safely ashore as well as the sbores and brade. The captain was unable to get her off as bhe nabives of the Island would not work so he sold her, and these same natives bought her for 125 dollars. They patched her up, and managed to haul her over the reef into the lagoon, where she now is. They hope to be able shortly to send her up to Auckland for permanent repairs. ____
