The triple murder which occurred during a Malay festival at Normanton has resulted in a European riot. The latter burnt all the houses of the aliens residing at Normanton, besides their fishing boats, and the loss is estimated at ;£2,000. All the aliens have left the town. The mob lipeatened to lynch thß murderer, and it is feared trouble may arise, as most of the aliens are armed.
