ARRIVAL OF THE MARAROA.
The s.s. Mararoa (Captain James Edie) arrived here fco-day at 6 a.m. Mr Nancarrow, the purser, reports : —Left Sydney at midnight on Bth msb, cleared Port Jackson Heads at 1 a.m. on 9th, was abeam of the Three Kings at 10.50 a.m. on 12th, rounded the North Cape at 2.15 p.m., and arrived as above, having experienced moderate northerly winds and fine weather throughout the passage. She brings the following passengers :— Saloon—For Auckland : Two Sisters of the Poor, Mr and Mrs Mosse, Mr and Mrs Schapp, Mrs Holdship, Mrs Montgomery, Mrs Kelly, Mrs Marcroft, Mrs Reston, Misses Reid, Hughes, Reston, General W. O. Lennox, Rev. J, A. Taylor, Messrs G. F. Wallace, T. E. Stericker, J. Bridge, A. Guy, J. S. Foster, W. J. E. Bastard, H. S. Hill, G. S. Bertie, Lesser, Linnell, E. J. Long, Garrett, T. Trafford, J. F. Montague, and 18 steerage. For Napier: 1 steerage. For Wellington: LieutenantColonel E. W. Adams. For Lyttelton : Miss A. B. Coombes, Rev. C. Shergold,Messrs H. Nash, A. Nodes, and 1 steerage.
