His Honor Mr Justice Gillies ha 3 returned from Wellington, where he has been attending the Appeal Court, and he will open the: Criminal Session of the Supreme Court here on Monday next at 11 o'clock. The following list of cases is set down for hearing : — CRIMINAL CALENDAR. The criminal calendar includes 33 cases as followß:—Henry Thornton Kowe, attempt to carnally know a child under, 12 years of age; Heriry Smith and John Kelly, arson; ■William Nelson; larceny; Albert Octavius Stodart; fori?ing and uttering; Hernia Ngakohatu and Te Kura, false pretences; Pine Awanuiand Potohi Natana, false pretences; Pine Awanui and Teare Taotao. false pretences; Hemi Ngawaka and Pine Awanui, false pretences; Ngaro Hawhati, Hemi, and Pine Awanui, false pretences; Tame Ngawaka and Pine Awanui, false pretences ; David Aslier, false pretences (2 charges); Hotu Jtapihana, rape; John Phillips and Prank Walton, forging and uttering: Nicholas Hand, Henry Arthur and Alfred Will'anj Cracknoll, assault and robbery; Robert Johnston and Edward Mumford, breaking and entering; Bridget Johnston, receiving stolen property: Thomas Kennedy, horse - stealing; Edward Howell, horse-stealing; William Smith, horse-stealing; Henry Palmer, indecent assault; Robert Foster, alias George McKay, forging and uttering ; Horace Wood, breaking and entering; Gordon Leslie Coward, forgery. CIVIL BUSINESS. The following civil cases will be taken after the criminal calendar is disposed of:—Masefleld and Co. v. John Lundon, £77 4s 4d. dishonoured Promissory Note; Lawrence A. Levy v. M. Montague, £10, dishonoured P.N.; James Larken v. James O'Brien, for dissolution of partnership and taking accounts; Thomas Teasdale v. National Bank of New Zealand, £100 damages for dishonoured P.N.; Bank of New South Wales v. D/ H. McKenzie, £282 ss, overdue P.N.; Arthur D. Bennett v. North New Zealand Woollen Manufacturing Company, £479 6s 2d, being for cash spent and services rendered in the formation of the defendant company; Louis Ehrenfried t. Patrick Lynch, for possession of Greyhound Hotel and mesne profits. There id a counter claim between the parties. Georgje Whlto v. James Morell Metcalfe and Besßin Metcalfe, £1,000. damages for alleged libel; Charles Ross C. Smith v. James Morell Metcalfe and Beisic Metcalfe, £1,000. damages for alleged libel; C.R.C. Smith v. W.
