(BROM OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT,) Thames, this day. THE NEW ALBURNIA. Ma'T. A. Dunlop has been temporarily appointed supervisor of the New Albvtrnia mine. MR PARKES. Mr Parkes is at present here. He has not yet decided where his smelting furnace Trill be erected. THE PAROQUET. All hands have been discharged in the Paroquet mine, owing to the state of the road from the mine to the battery. BROKEN HILL MAROTOTO. Acting under instructions from the Warden, the Mining Inspector has visited Marototo goldfield and procured three samples of ore from the ground applied for at the Warden's Court last Thursday by Mr Walsh. Mr Wilson caused three samples to be taken out,-in his presence, from places pointed out to him by Mr Moore, who is manager of the Marototo Prospectors' Company, and also manager of the Broken Hill Marototo which was lately floated into a mining company in the Sydney market. Mr Wilson brought the samples down to the Thames under seal, and from them samples have been taken up to Auckland by the Warden, who purposes having one or more assay 3 made of them there. Mr Northcroft will also supply duplicates of tho same to Mr Precious, one of the directors of tho Broken Hill Marototo Co., so that these gentlemen may satisfy themselves as to the value of the ground acquired by them.
