The Oreti case has advanced a step. The Registrar of the Supreme Court and the assessor agreed upon by the parties have decided to recommend tho Chief Justice to allow Captain Robertson tho sum of £590 in satisfaction oi: his claim of £600 odd for wages and disbursements. Tho judge will nonreturn from Wanganui for a few days, and the case cannot bo finally settled for at. least another week.
