Sißj— Your correspondent "U.S.A." reyeate itideed a dreadful state of things as likely to occur if the unfortunate 'Cyclists are made to pay a registration one shilling!! which he admits will hot cover fche cost of the by-laws, bufc it ie pretty well known that the object of the registration is siniply to enable the police to detect offenders who set at defiance all law, ride on the footpaths, carry no light or bell at night, and recklessly disregard the safety of foot passengers, either males, females, of children. But when we hear and learn i)t the dreadful obstacles put in the way of the n6ble arpiy of 'cyclists* by the infliction of thie ice of one shilling 1 is makes one think is anyone's life worth to much ? lam sure many will sympathise vvith. your oorrespondenjj, and enaeavoup td stop this tyranny ! !—youre,.etQ ( , r '/.
