THE AORANGI AT WELLINGTON.

Wellington, this day. The direct steamer Aorangi arrived at 11.30 *ast night. She left Plymouth on December 17th, Madeira 22nd, Cape January Bth, and Hobart 26th. She had fine weather throughout the passage, which including stoppages occupied 42 days 20 hours. She brings about 352 bags of mails, about 3,000 tons of cargo and 101 passengers. Amongst her passengers are the Right Rev. Dr. Grimes, R.C. Bishop of Christchurch. Lieut. Col. Burton, N.Z. War veteran, and Mr Owen Jones, representative of the Pacific Cable Co.

The Auckland passengers are :—Saloon : Mesdames Hobson and Burton, LieutenantColonel Burton. Second Cabin : Misses R. and D. Whitcomb, Mr and Mrs Whitcomb. Steerage : Mesdames Hunter and Wheclor, Messrs Hunter, Thompson, Wheeler, G. Wheeler, R. H. and A. E. Whyte.
