Dcnedin, this day. In the Supreme Court Judge Williams gave a decision completely in favour of the Kaikorai School Committee. He held that the Board's accion was illegal and ultra vires ; that Mr J. Laughton, schoolmaster, was entitled to retain his position until removed or suspended as provided by th Q Act; and that the Board be restrained from preventing Mr Laughton enjoying the emoluments and benefits attached to his office. Lastly he ordered the Board to pay twelve guineas costs, together with disbursements.
