SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
'BUS DRIVER RUN OVERAT DEYONPORT.
An accident of a very serious <W happened at the conclusion of the IW» port races, on Saturday evening, toalrit* named Edward Hodgkins. He was' charge of a 'bus belonging to kfti Davis Brothers, and had taken 1 one load of passengers and in! returning with another at the timeof tfe occurrence. Turning at a sharp angled crossing a culvert on the approach to % toria Road, off Lake Road, the vehil jolted heavilyandHodgkinswasjerkedoffl seat andthehind wheel of the 'bus passed out his right thigh, fracturing the bone. % unfortunate man was brought over to to and sent to the Hospital, where an eauij ation showed that the fracture was \ '& pound comminuted one. Ampntationit the limb was decided upon, bat Hodriin refused to undergo>the operation; -V
